Career Profiles - Customer Service Manager

As a Customer Service Manager, you will have a pivotal role linking Manitoba eHealth to the organizations and individuals who provide frontline health-care services. You will provide a key role in understanding your customers’ needs and be instrumental in focusing eHealth resources on information technology solutions to meet these needs. You will focus on ensuring Manitoba eHealth continuously improves its services over time. You will also have opportunities to interact with the health-care professionals and patients who will ultimately benefit from your work.

Your responsibilities

  • ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with Manitoba eHealth products and services
  • establishing effective relationships with customers by gaining recognition as a trusted and respected representative of Manitoba eHealth
  • projecting a strong personal image, and representing both the customer and Manitoba eHealth professionally at all times
  • identifying customer business requirements and engaging the appropriate Manitoba eHealth resources to meet these requirements
  • focusing on providing effective solutions and improving the quality of Manitoba eHealth services over time

Position requirements

  • IT Infrastructure Library certification an asset
  • PRINCE2 certification an asset
  • three to five years working in an IT service management and/or IT operational management role
  • experience with establishing and managing ITIL processes
  • good understanding of the health-care system and its challenges
  • extensive experience with consulting and communication with executive-level management
  • experience with managing organizational change
  • excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • excellent facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • great attitude with empathy for all points of view
  • highly motivated self-starter with an intense focus on results and enhancing relationships with senior decision-makers
  • ability to cope with strict deadlines, a heavy workload and interaction with all members of the organization at all levels

Education

  • undergraduate university degree in Management or Computer Science or a related discipline.
